WELCOME

 I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing individual psychotherapy to adults in the Decatur area of Atlanta, GA. My practice is devoted to working with individuals to mindfully navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions, including the transition to parenthood.

 

 My therapeutic approach is to meet you where you are, honoring your unique life experiences and offering responses that address your needs.  I practice listening deeply and respectfully, with curiosity and compassion. I view my role as that of a supportive and empathetic guide, supporting your innate capacity for self-awareness, growth, and well-being. My priority is that you feel safe, heard, and understood.

For all of us, there are moments in life when things feel like “too much.” These moments are worthy of our attention. Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space to look within and gain a deeper understanding of what lies underneath your pain or struggle.  Together, we will aproach your healing and growth from a holistic lens, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit - a process that can lead to more peace, healing, and a greater sense of connection to self and others.

APPROACH

I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will look at how your relationships, environments, and experiences have shaped you, and how they might be influencing your current ways of living and connecting to others. We will explore your feelings, thoughts, and patterns, identifying which ones are serving you and which ones are holding you back. We will work to bring more awareness to your inner-life with the aim of expanding your inner and outer resources and removing obstacles to your growth.

My clinical approach is integrative, meaning I combine different therapeutic modalities to ensure you receive treatment specific to your needs. As appropriate, I incorporate evidenced-based treatments, including (but not limited to) mindfulness based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy.
